Sunset Hill

Subject: Sunset Hill Wed Jul 14, 2010 11:37 am

Many acres of hill-ridden land nick-named, "Sunset Range," or, "Sunset Hill," for the superb view of every sunset and sunrise. Large trees of many sorts scatter themselves over the area, creating shade for any travelers who choose to stay in the area for any amount of time. From past residents, some run-down houses are also scattered over the area, including a small mansion--- all rumored to be haunted.

Karen sits under a tree watching the cloud roll by lazily.
"It's so peaceful today."
Placing her arms behind her head she watches as the puffy white cloud cast shadows over the ground in blotches.

Pyxie strolled in looking up at the sky, the cloud's shadows covering her face. A content sigh escaped her mouth as she smiled upwards. She began to hum a tune that she was quite familiar with, and she did not care about the horrible memories along with it.

By now Karen had dozed off in the middle of the grass, this happened a lot when she was just trying to relax for the day. She turns over on her side, yawning in her sleep.

Pyxie heard a yawn and looked down a little to see a girl on the floor, sleeping. She suddenly stopped her humming and kneeled down to get a better look at the girl. She childishly tilted her head out of curiosity.

Karen turns back over to face Pyxie. Her eyes slowly open and seeing Pyxie so close to her all of a sudden makes her jump in shock and surprise.

Pyxie stood up scared out of the sudden movement. She stared wide-eyed at the girl who had just woken and apologized for scaring her.

She brushes herself off and smiles at her.
"It's fine, it my fault for dozing off in the middle of nowhere."

Pyxie calmed down a little and laughed. "It isn't a very smart thing to do. Who knows what creeps may be out here," she said to the girl. The was oddly comfortable with this girl.

"I can hold out my own, I've had to do it since I was sixteen."
She stands up and brushes the dirt off of her shorts.

"hmm.. a thing we have in common." Pyxie looked at the girl with a sad look, not totally paying attention to her as a flashback of her past ran through her head...

Karen look sodwn at her then bends down offering her a hand with a soft smile.
"Hey come on, life's too short to be so sad."

Pyxie does not notice the hand and wipes her tears. "It's just that.. The sad memories are the only ones I really remember.." She explained.

Frowning she crouches down in front of Pyxie and puts a hand softly on her shoulder.
"Come on now, I'm sure that there are some happy memories there or at least on the horizon for you."

"I can't remember anything happy. I came here hoping that something good would happen, making me forget my bad memories.." She said to her.

She smiles at her softly.

"My name is Pyxie. I like your name, Karen." She repeated it to admire it more. It was a very pretty name!

"Thank you Pyxie. In japanese my name means 'lovely'."

"Well yeah, it's very unique and one of a kind. And it sounds really nice too."
She sits next to her, crossing her legs.
